How the Great Recession of 2008 Ushered in a New Part-Time Economy

There is no doubt about it, the Great Recession of 2008 changed things forever. In 2013 77% of all jobs created in the United States were part-time. In 2014 48% of all graduating college students were still unemployed six months after graduation. We are living in a new part-time or “freelancer” economy. To thrive and have success we need to adjust to the new reality and play the game by a new set of rules.
